Cincinnati Reds first baseman Joey Votto, who restarted a rehab assignment with Triple-A Louisville last weekend, hit a 414-foot home run to center during the 7th inning of the Bats’ 7-3 win Friday night against the Clippers at Columbus’ Huntington Park.

Votto hit the second of three homers in the inning off Clippers reliever Nic Enright. Henry Ramos homered just before Votto, and Christian Encarnacion-Strand hit his 16th homer of the season two batters after Votto.

It was Votto’s first home run since April 1.

The Enquirer’s Charlie Goldsmith wrote late last month that Votto said he feels “pressure to be back on the (big-league) roster.”
