It was Mark Scheifele who is most responsible for getting the engines warmed up for the Jets. Scheifele scored the tie-breaking goal and Winnipeg never looked back. It was part of a three-point night for Scheifele who scored two goals and added an assist. The Jets are the consensus favorites in this matchup.
This would be a statement win for Philadelphia, which is trying to climb out of the bottom of the Metropolitan. Beating the Red Wings on Saturday was a prerequisite to doing that and Carter Hart made sure that happened. The Flyers goalie made 30 saves as he continues to have a brilliant season. His goaltending is what is going to make this a close game.
