Sega announces PC requirements for Like a Dragon: Ishin, giving players an overview of minimum and recommended specifications.
The PC system requirements for Like a Dragon: Ishin have recently been revealed, providing players with insight into the minimum and recommended specifications for running the game on their computers. Like a Dragon: Ishin is a remake of the 2014 Yakuza spin-off game and was first unveiled during last year’s PlayStation State of Play event. This title stands apart from others Yakuza games by transporting players to the late 1800s, offering a unique take on the franchise.
Despite its popularity in Japan, where it was known as Ryū ga Gotoku Ishinthe game was never released in the West, prompting the developers at Ryu Ga Gotoku to create a remastered version for a global audience. Like a Dragon: Ishin is set to release on February 21, 2023, and will be Ryu Ga Gotoku’s first game to use Unreal Engine 4. This change marks a departure from the studio’s previous use of its internally-developed Dragon Engine, promising stunning visuals and streamlined development processes in the future
As the launch of Like a Dragon: Ishin approaches nearer, its Steam page has been updated with the complete system requirements. According to the Steam page, to meet the minimum requirements, PC players will need to have a processor of either an Intel Core i5-3470 or an AMD Ryzen 3 1200 and at least 8GB of RAM. SEGA suggests that players who aim for a 1080p resolution with low graphics settings and a frame rate of 30 FPS will have to use an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 or an AMD Radeon RX 460 graphics card.
However, for those who are looking to play at a higher graphical quality with a 1080p resolution and 60 FPS, the recommended configuration includes an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 or an AMD Radeon RX Vega 56 graphics card. Apart from these requirements, the game also requires CPUs that support the AVX and SSE4.2 instruction set. The updated Steam page for Like a Dragon: Ishin also confirms that the game will utilize Denuvo anti-tamper technology, a controversial third-party anti-cheating software that has a reputation for causing performance issues on PC games.
The PC requirements for Like a Dragon: Ishin are not demanding, meaning that a majority of players will be able to run and play the game without having to upgrade their hardware. This accessibility allows for a wider audience to experience the game and its features, making it more inclusive and available to a broader player base. Hopefully, the game’s worldwide launch will be just as well-received as its original launch in Japan in 2014.
Like a Dragon: Ishin releases on February 21 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
