iQOO Neo7’s flagship-grade processor, advanced display tech and battery size showcased ahead of the Android smartphone’s launch

The Neo7 had been tipped to become a Dimensity 9000+-powered variation on iQOO’s 2022 flagship smartphone formula prior to its official announcement; now, the Vivo sub-brand has gone ahead and confirmed this line of speculation ahead of its launch.

iQOO also now asserts that this chipset will “join forces” with a Pro+ independent display chip in the Neo7, with “liquid cooling” (which will probably translate to the inclusion of a vapor chamber) for their thermal management.

This set-up is patently intended to boost gaming with the Neo7, which will be done using a display that might match other high-end 2022 Android smartphones for quality.

This is because iQOO has secured cutting-edge Samsung E5 for the Neo7. The brand has yet to unveil further specs for the resulting display, although it now clearly stands a good chance of attaining something like 120Hz in terms of refresh rate.

For its next spoiler, iQOO has turned to the Neo7’s battery and charging tech, and they are among the best the OEM could throw at it at 5,000mAh in capacity and 120W respectively.

Accordingly, the Neo7 is shaping up to debut as a true competitor in the Android world, even if it will have arrived relatively late in the year on October 20, 2022. Then again, all those specs may not bode well for the Neo series’ normally cost-effective reputation.
