IPCMobile Launches Mobile POS Platform

IPCMobile has launched a mobile point-of-sale (POS) platform that includes hardware, software and pricing options from a single source.

The new QuantumPay is designed to simplify and accelerate the deployment of mobile payment solutions, while also offering customers the option of bringing their own processors, IPCMobile said in a Tuesday (Jan. 17) press release.

“The marketplace for implementing an enterprise mobile payments strategy typically requires multiple vendors,” IPCMobile Director of Payments Adam Miller said in the release. “IPCMobile simplified this by creating a single solution that also provides customers the option to bring their own payment processor of choice.”

PYMNTS research has found that retailers are reprioritizing their resources towards more seamless omnichannel experiences.

More than 66% of retailers are shifting resources towards more convenient payment options and a broader range of payment choices, while 30% of retailers in the United States and 37% of those in the United Kingdom are seeking the right mix of digital tools to deliver the experience their customers expect, according to “Navigating Big Retail’s Digital Shift: The New Payments Strategy Evolution,” a PYMNTS and ACI Worldwide collaboration.

Bringing capabilities like checkout anywhere on the sales floor enables new customer interactions that not only allow customers to skip the line, but also improve the customer experience and ultimately increase sales for merchants, Petur Sigurdsson, product director at LS Retail, an Aptos Company, told PYMNTS in an interview posted in December 2022.

“Customers now expect a seamless experience across all the merchant’s touch points,” Sigurdsson said at the time. “The concept of unified commerce is really of essence here.”

With IPCMobile’s QuantumPay, merchants can run transactions wherever the customer is, can do so even when not connected to the internet and can offer flexible payment options to customers, according to the press release.

In addition, the QuantumPay Portal allows merchants to manage devices remotely and view processing activity data, the release said.

“Time is money — and QuantumPay is designed to help businesses do more with both,” IPCMobile founder and CEO Jeff Scott said in the release. “This groundbreaking mobile point of sales platform is true to IPCMobile’s roots, while also reflecting our desire to be at the forefront of the enterprise mobility market.”
