Released in January 2022, the Intel Core i7-12700F is an Alder Lake processor that comes without an unlocked multiplier and also lacks an integrated graphics solution. However, these compromises have also pushed its launch price to the lowest value in the 12th generation Intel Core i7 lineup. Since then, the US$314 launch price has become a list price of US$380 on Amazon. While the ongoing 24% Amazon discount pushes this price down to US$289.99, the drop from the launch price is lower than 8%.
The Intel Core i7-12700F has a total of 12 cores, 20 threads, and frequencies that range between 1.6 and 3.6 GHz. Depending on the speed, the TDP also varies between 65 W and 180 W. While it comes bundled with a modest stock air cooling solution, the Intel Core i7-12700F does not feature integrated graphics, so those who acquire it should also keep in mind to save some money for a dedicated graphics card.
After 161 user ratings, the Intel Core i7-12700F has an excellent Amazon score of 4.9/5. This comes as the result of no less than 95% perfect reviews and 3% 4/5 scores. The breakdown by feature only consists of three attributes, namely ease of installation (5/5), gaming performance (4.6), and value for money (4.5).

In my early school days, I hated writing and having to make up stories. A decade later, I started to enjoy it. Since then, I published a few offline articles and then I moved to the online space, where I contributed to major websites that are still present online as of 2021 such as Softpedia, Brothersoft, Download3000, but I also wrote for multiple blogs that have disappeared over the years I’ve been riding with the Notebookcheck crew since 2013 and I am not planning to leave it anytime soon. In love with good mechanical keyboards, vinyl and tape sound, but also smartphones, streaming services, and digital art.
