For the first time since 2009, the Philadelphia Phillies will be hosting World Series games at Citizens Bank Park after defeating the San Diego Padres in Game 5 and winning the National League Championship Series.
The Phillies will face the Houston Astros, who will be making their fourth World Series appearance in six seasons after sweeping the New York Yankees in the American League Championship Series.
While Phillies fans are ecstatic about their team’s accomplishment, watching their favorite team play in the World Series might not be as easy as they imagined.
How much are the MLB World Series tickets this year?
According to a few reports, the cheapest tickets for Game 1 on StubHub range from $468 – $526, and are standing-room-only tickets. The highest-priced ticket for that game is just over $13,000, a Diamond Club level seat.
According to TicketIQ, the average ticket price for games in Philadelphia is over $3,000 — more than double the price for Houston gameswhich is approximately $1500.

Get-in tickets, which are the cheapest tickets that a fan can get for a game, are also priced higher in the City of Brotherly Love. The get-in price for Game 3, to be held in Philly, is $1,720, compared to $514 for Houston’s Game 1, and a potential $767 for Game 7.
When does the World Series start? How to get tickets?
The best-of-seven series begins Friday, Oct. 28, with two games to be played at Minute Maid Park in Houston, before heading to Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia for Games 3, 4 and 5, if necessary. The World Series will air on FOX and can also be streamed on MLB.TV.
