Hillsdale takes third at the conference championship match, second overall in the league

The LCAA closed out their regular season with the conference championship match. Head coach Marc Wilson and the Hornet boys golf team took third place in the final team scores at the championship. The Hornets finished the day with a final score of 346. The Blissfield Royals won the championship match and Clinton took second. In overall league standings from the season, the Hornets took second place.

Senior Jack Granata and junior Joseph Miller tied for fifth place in individual scores. They both finished the day with a final score of 83. Miller and Granata both earned first team all-conference honors. Granata had one birdie on hole 15. He had a total of six pars. Miller had a total of eight pars over 18 holes.

Senior Grant Alley tied for 13th overall with a final score of 89. Alley had four pars and one birdie on hole 13. Junior Jaden Hall took 18th overall with a final score of 91. Hall had a par on hole 16. Senior Brody Young tied for 32nd overall with a final score of 97. The senior had four pars.

The Hornets prepare to head to the D3 LP Region 15 championship next week on Wednesday, May 31. The event will start in the morning and feature 18-holes. The Hornets will compete with Jonesville at the championship match. The regionals will be held at the Medalist Golf Club. The Hornets and Comets both competed there in the John Matthew Krutsch Invitational earlier this month.
