By Tanseem Haider: Three people were arrested after it was revealed that they were part of a gang that snatched mobile phones and sped away on high-end bikes.

The incident came to light when, on January 12, a brand new iPhone was snatched from Vijay Guvendram at Pacific Mall by two men on sports bikes.

Vijay filed a complaint, and the police found that the bike belonged to one Pankaj Agarwal, who lent it to Varun.

Varun was untraceable, but the police combed through CCTV footage and caught the man. During interrogation, Varun confessed to snatching mobile phones at the behest of Pankaj Agarwal.

Pankaj was taken into custody, and it was revealed that the mobile phones were handed over to one Suleman.

Soon, Suleman was caught. He told the police that he sold the expensive phones at lower prices. 18 mobile phones were recovered from him and nine from Pankaj Agarwal. The high-end bike used for snatching was also recovered from Agarwal’s home.

Further investigation is underway.
