Here’s what the Galaxy Book 3 laptops cost and when you can get one

Samsung did the unusual at Galaxy Unpacked and announced three new smartphones alongside a new series of laptops. The company usually reserves Galaxy Unpacked events for smartphones, smartwatches, and accessories, but Samsung is making a push for its laptops to become one of its primary revenue sources.

To achieve this, Samsung added a few unique features to its new Galaxy Book 3 notebooks, designed to bring smartphones and laptops closer together. Galaxy Books can use apps like Samsung Notes and Gallery, and through One UI 5.1, customers can use the Galaxy Book’s mouse, keyboard, or touchpad to control Galaxy tablets and smartphones alike.

Samsung’s new Galaxy Book 3 series covers a wide price range. The company unveiled three models at Unpacked, including the Galaxy Book 3 Pro, Book 3 Pro 360, and Galaxy Book 3 Ultra. The latter is Samsung’s first laptop to bear the “Ultra” brand and has an Nvidia RTX graphics card.

Galaxy Book 3 series colors, prices, and release dates

Samsung will release the Galaxy Book 3 Pro and Book 3 Pro 360 in Graphite and Beige color options in select markets starting on February 17. The Galaxy Book 3 Ultra will hit the shelves in Graphite from February 22 onward. The series is available for pre-order starting today.

The company hasn’t revealed pricing and availability details for the rumored, basic Galaxy Book 3 that doesn’t have “Pro” or “Ultra” in its name. We’ll have to wait and see if this model will be released at a later date.

Regardless, you’ll soon be able to buy the Galaxy Book 3 Pro with a 14-inch display starting at $1,449. A 16-inch model will also be available for a higher price.

The Galaxy Book 3 Pro 360, available with a 16-inch touchscreen connected to a 360-degree hinge, starts at $1,899. And last but not least, the 16-inch Galaxy Book 3 Ultra will be released for $2,399 and up.

Prices will vary depending on the hardware configuration. The Galaxy Book 3 series can be equipped with a 13th Gen Intel Core i5 or i7 CPU, 8GB, 16GB, or 32GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB of storage (PCIe).
