The Prince George Spruce Kings have hired Andrew Shaw as the team’s new Associate Coach.
The 32-year-old Shaw spent the past three seasons as an assistant coach with the Chilliwack Chiefs.

The Prince George Cougars traded speedy forward Craig Armstrong to the Red Deer Rebels in return for three draft picks (2nd round pick in 2023, 4th round pick in 2024, and 5th round pick in 2025).
The 19-year-old Armstrong notched 56 points, including 20 goals, in 155 games over three seasons with the Cougars.

The Toronto Blue Jays road game Wednesday against the Baltimore Orioles was postponed by rain.
It will be made up as part of a doubleheader on September 5th.
The (60-50) Jays lead the AL Wild Card Standings and will start a 6-game homestand Friday night (4:07 PT) against the Cleveland Guardians.

Week 10 of the CFL season starts tonight (Thursday 5:30 PT) with (2-6) Montreal at (9-0) Winnipeg.
The (6-1) BC Lions visit the (5-2) Calgary Stampeders Saturday (4 pm PT).

BC Football Conference:
The (0-2) Prince George Kodiaks visit the (2-1) Valley Huskers Saturday night at 7:00 in Chilliwack in the BC Football Conference.
The same two teams will also play on Saturday, August 20th at Masich Place Stadium in Prince George.
The Kodiaks lost to the Huskers 31-5 on July 23rd in Chilliwack before dropping their home opener last Saturday (August 6th) 35-20 loss to the Kamloops Broncos.
