On Wednesday, 24 August, 14 ladies including a visitor from Tamborine Mountain, played a Single Stroke and competed for the Gympie Golf Club Ladies August Wednesday Monthly Medal.
Daily Winner and Monthly Medal Winner was Carol Ward on a countback from Stella Macklin (73).
Sandra Yarrow (75), Maureen Carroll (77), Dorothy Bramley (79), Debbie Deighton (83) and Ann Rigby (84) won balls in the Rundown.
Carol won the Seniors’ comp and Stella won the Putting (31) with Maureen Carroll just one more on 32.

Before teeing off, ladies enjoyed a delicious Morning Tea to celebrate the August birthdays of those who were unable to attend last week.

On Saturday (27 August), ladies played the third round of the Club Stroke Championships sponsored by Haymans Electrical & Data Suppliers.
Winner of the daily competition was Sandra Yarrow, who has been playing some nice golf in recent weeks, with 70 nett.
Our “Golden Oldie” Del Groundwater was Runner Up on a countback from Yoey Coogan just one shot behind (71).
Yoey Coogan (71), Lorraine Elliott, Karen Mills (72), Dorothy Bramley (74) and Clair Thorburn (76) won vouchers in the rundown.

On Sunday (28 August) Members and Ladies played the final round of the Club Stroke Championships.
Results of the daily competition were the same as Saturday with Sandra Yarrow coming in Winner with a great score of 66 nett and Del Groundwater Runner Up, one shot behind on 67 nett.
