A “friendraiser” golf tournament benefitting The Senior Center will be held Sept. 17 at Sun Valley’s Trail Creek Golf Course.

The 18-hole event will be held Saturday, Sept. 17. It is open to anyone over 50 who wants to play. It is part of the annual Senior Connection Games, organized to celebrate life after 50.

The golf tournament is an opportunity to spend a day with friends and show support for The Connection, which provides a host of services, including Meals on Wheels and a Memory Club for those with Alzheimer’s or dementia, said Dave Lipman and Phil Doerflein.

It costs $125 a person and players can play their own balls and pick their own tee boxes. There will be men and women’s competition in every age decade 50 and older.

To reserve a tee time, email or call Dave Lipman at 208-721-1631 or [email protected]. Or, contact Phil Doerflein at 208-721-2539 or [email protected]

The payment can be made on The Senior Connection website at https://seniorconnectionidaho.org/events/golf/ or at the Sun Valley Club the day of the event.

The Senior Games also include Pickle Ball-Round Robin at the Elkhorn courts, two-person or four-person Corn Hole and a 628-foot, 1.3-mile Dollar Hill Climb followed by a ride down on the Dollar chairlift. Learn more at https://seniorconnectionidaho.org/senior-games-2/.
