For the next few days, golf will take center stage in the baseball home of the Lansing Lugnuts.

Individuals will have the opportunity to take their golf swings in downtown Lansing for a third straight year as the Grand River Country Club returns to Jackson Field.

Tee times are available from 6 pm to midnight through Thursday. The cost is $35 for nine holes for an individual or $120 for a foursome. Tee times can be reserved at www.milb.com/lansing/ballpark/golf.

The course, which was designed by Lugnuts director of retail Matt Hicks, features nine holes spanning the 360-degree concourse. Golfers will receive three shots at each tee location.

The estimated round time is 45 to 60 minutes.

The golfer with the highest point total will be crowned the Grand River Country Club champion. Golfers receive 25 points for a hole-in-one, 10 points for a ball on the green and two points for a ball on the field. Bonus points are given for wearing a Hawaiian shirt or argyle socks or bringing a non-perishable food item for the Greater Lansing Food Bank.

This week marks one of two sessions of golf taking place at Jackson Field. The course will also be in place this fall from Oct. 6-8.
