SALEM – The Salem Golf Club Women’s Association on behalf of the Salem Golf Club will hold its Fourth Annual Police and Firefighters’ Golf Benefit Sept. 10.
Invitations were sent to police and fire departments in Mahoning and Columbiana counties. The event, which is in appreciation for officers and firefighters, hosted a full field of teams in 2021.
Through sponsorships, contributions and donations, the officers and firefighters will receive a complimentary lunch beginning at noon followed by a 1 pm shotgun start (four-person scramble) concluding with an appreciation dinner.
Through additional sponsorships and contributions, a fund has been established at the Salem Community Foundation for all police and fire departments that participate in the golf outing. They are eligible, by means of their participation, to apply for funds that can be used for educational needs, special equipment needs for their safety and protection, as well as safety and protection for the public.
Donations may be made to The SGCWA/Police & Firefighters Golf Benefit Fund, Attn: Jill Harmon, The Salem Golf Club, PO Box 586, Salem, Ohio 44460.
