Former Cincinnati Reds fan favorite Todd Frazier is working with the Reds Radio Network during the team’s three-game series this week against the Orioles in Baltimore.
Reds center fielder TJ Friedl had two hits, including his fifth home run of the seasonto help the Reds to a 3-1 win Tuesday night at Oriole Park at Camden Yards.
And when Friedl talked to Bally Sports Ohio’s Jim Day on the field just after the game ended, Friedl pointed out that the “Toddfather” predicted the outfielder’s shot.
“Todd Frazier called my home run today as we were getting on the bus,” Friedl told Frazier, who announced his retirement from Major League Baseball in April 2022. “So we were walking to the bus, and he told me, he’s like, ‘I’ve just got a good feeling. You’re my pick to click today.’ And so that’s why as I was rounding the bases, I’m looking up here trying to find him. And so I get in the dugout and I see him standing outside of the press box, looking down. And I’m like, ‘ Yep, yeah, he called that.'”
Friedl raised his batting average this season to .313.
