The MLB winter meetings are heating up as a few teams have ignited a fire through their acquisitions. The Yankees themselves grabbed headlines by re-signing the iconic Aaron Judge. On the other hand, the Padres acquired the enigmatic shortstop Xander Bogaerts from the Boston Red Sox. Therefore, a trade with the Yankees for Tatis Jr. (also a shortstop), appeared to have a high possibility.

Since the rumors began spreading like wildfire, the clues have pointed towards a shutdown of the fantasy. This means Tatis Jr. will most likely begin the next season, walking out of the Padres’ dugout. But the fans have still not stopped making wild guesses. The news of Tatis Jr.’s recent visit to New York only baked out more pies in the sky.

MLB insider Hector Gomez posted the image on his Twitter account quoting, “Fernando Tatis Jr. at the Dominican airport heading to New York City.”

One of the fans replied, “He’ll be dining with Cashman at El Malecon in Washington Heights tonight. Book it.”

While another fan wrote, “He’s a Yankee.”
