Fans Take Jibe at a Top MLB Star Questioning the Absence of San Diego Padres Youngster From Their Potential 2023 Lineup

San Diego Padres have been extremely active during this offseason. They have made moves to acquire several top-level targets and have successfully done so. Even after failing to sign two of the market’s top free agents, the Padres finally succeeded in landing a free agent and former Red Sox shortstop Xander Bogaerts to an 11-year $280 million contract.

This adds to the Padres’ core players in Juan Soto, Fernando Tatis Jr., and Manny Machado. Notably, they will play a big part in their future. But even after having one of the finest talents in Fernando Tatis Jr., the Padres are showing him in their possible lineup for the next season.

A tweet that was posted regarding the Padres’ talented players named Manny Machado, Xander Bogaerts, and Juan Soto as the Padres’ talented players, left Fernando Tatis Jr. off the list. According to a tweet shared by Starting 9, Ronald Acuna Jr. was surprised that Tatis Jr. didn’t make the list. The tweet by Starting 9 she said, “Acuña wants to know why they left out Nando”.

A lot of fans also reacted to the tweet with their thoughts. Some of them have mentioned Tatis’ suspension, while some of them have posted positive comments as well.

Notably, Tatis Jr. is currently serving an 80-game ban for using anabolic steroids. And will reportedly miss the first 20 games of the 2023 MLB season while doing so. This may have been the reason that he was not mentioned on the list.

Meanwhile, the team will be looking to do well in 2023 and Tatis may play a part in their success. But with Bogaerts coming in, it looks likely that Tatis will have to move to the outfield in 2023.

Fernando Tatis Jr. received an 80-game ban after testing positive for a performance-enhancing substance. According to ESPN, Tatis Jr. tested positive for Clostebol. And missed the last 48 games of the 2022 season as well as the postseason games that the Padres played.
