Fairfield Drug Now Offers Online, Mobile Phone Options To Order Refills | Local News

Fairfield Drug now offers two additional options for ordering prescription refills for their customers.

Cell phone users can download an app (short for application) for either their Android or Apple phone. A pair of “QR” (Quick Response) scan codes are displayed with this story. Just use your cell phone camera to download the app for your phone.

For those customers who would rather order refills on their computer, they can go to https://fairfielddrug.refillquick.com/

Customers will need to have the prescription number (Rx #) information ready for each prescription when ordering refills.

Jill Tex, pharmacist at Fairfield Drug, said that the new system went into service a couple of weeks ago.

With your mobile device, scan the appropriate QR Code to activate the app on your device.

With Jill present, we decided to give the website version of the program a try.

Unlike almost every other program we see nowadays, this did not require our email address or setting up an account.

Once we were at the site, https://fairfielddrug.refillquick.com/, a simple web page appears. You enter first name, last name, and then you start entering the prescription numbers, which appear on your prescription bottles. To send the refill request, just click on the “Continue” button, and instantly a window will confirm the refills.

If you enter a refill before it is time for the next refill, the system will let you know, but then tells Fairfield Drug to refill the prescription when it becomes due.

If you send a refill request through the website that has expired, the system will let Jill and her colleagues know, and they will make the refill request.

For those who want to go totally automated, they can request that the drug store automatically refill their prescriptions. There is no charge for either service.
