Following his electrifying debut Tuesday night, Reds top prospect Elly De La Cruz followed it up with his first career home run on Wednesday night against the Dodgers.

Facing an 0-1 count in the first inning against Dodgers pitcher Noah Syndergaard, De La Cruz crushed a 458-foot shot into right field.

The homer tied the game at 2-2. Teammate Spencer Steer was hit by a Syndergaard pitch in the next at-bat, which brought Reds manager David Bell out of the dugout.
