Dylan Crews, Paul Skenes top new MLB draft top 150

Two of the best baseball players in college baseball happen to be on the same team. Thankfully for Tiger fans, both of them play for LSU. Dylan Crews and Paul Skenes headline MLB.com’s top 150 draft prospects list.

Crews is off to a scorching hot start in 2023. He currently has a .485 batting average with 11 homers and 44 RBI. Having a .485 batting average is insane. Those are video game numbers. To put it into perspective, Crews is getting a hit in almost every other at-bat. He entered the season as the possible No. 1 pick in the draft and his stock has only gone up.

Skenes was one of the most high-profile players in the transfer portal last offseason. After spending two seasons at Air Force, Skenes decided to bet on himself and pursue playing baseball at the next level. So far, he has a 7-1 record with a 1.97 ERA. He has shown a few cracks in the armor lately as his last three outings have not been great, but his ERA is still insanely low.

You will get to see these two again tonight as the Tigers welcome the Alabama Crimson Tide into town for a weekend series.
