Detroit King football, Dante Moore outlast Cass Tech

Detroit King (2-1) defeated Cass Tech (2-2) 28-23 Friday night at Cass Tech High School.

King opened the scoring with a deep pass from quarterback Dante Moore seven minutes, 57 seconds into the first quarter.

King’s Sterling Anderson Jr. ran for a 10-yard touchdown to give King a 14-0 lead with four minutes remaining in the first quarter.

Sean Hodges of Cass Tech returned the ensuing kickoff to the King 14-yard line. Cass Tech later scored on a Leeshaun Mumpfield quarterback sneak to cut the lead to 14-7 King entering the second quarter.
