Right now, no one knows the final outcome for QB Deshaun Watson. While some have sources who have knowledge of certain things that are happening, Judge Sue Robinson and, now, Peter Harvey are not directly speaking to the media. Instead, just hours away from what is supposed to be his Cleveland Browns (preseason) debut, Watson’s discipline is still up in the air.
We’ve known the NFL wants a full-year suspension, at least. It has been reported that Watson would file a lawsuit if the appeal led to that length of discipline. Recently it was reported that Watson would accept an eight-game suspension and a huge fine.
For the sake of being complete, it has also been reported that the NFL really doesn’t want Watson playing in Houston in Week 13 of this season.

While this report may be sourced and could be hinting towards something coming, it is not new information. It is possible that the NFL, along with an agreement from the NFLPA, has asked Harvey to delay his decision while settlement talks are ongoing.
There are still a lot of possible outcomes to Watson’s discipline despite the preseason kicking off for the Browns tonight. A settlement is one of those possible outcomes.
