NHL 23 Ratings are a hot topic every year as we learn which players have proven themselves enough to lead the league.

NHL 23 Ratings: Cover Star Trevor Zegras revealed
While we’ve seen NBA 2K23 and Madden 23 save their ratings reveals for closer to launch, NHL 23 is kicking things off early.
The official release date for NHL 23 is still more than a month away, but we’re already learning about ratings.
Their first official reveal went to young star Trevor Zegras, who was also chosen as one of this year’s NHL 23 Cover Athletes.
At just 21 years of age, Zegras has made an immediate impact on the league, and his rating reflects that.

Trevor Zegras has received an 87 OVR rating in NHL 23which leaves plenty of room to grow but is more than respectable going into his third year with the Anaheim Ducks.
We’re sure to have more reveals on the way, but the NHL 23 Technical Test is ongoing now as some players get a preview of this year’s game.
Highest rated players in NHL 22 could once again be at the top
While we’ve yet to learn about other NHL 23 ratings or how things look for each team, last year’s can give us a good indication of how things might shake out at the top.

- Patrick Kane – 92 OVR – Chicago Blackhawks
- Victor Hedman – 92 OVR – Tampa Bay Lightning
- Nikita Kucherov – 92 OVR – Tampa Bay Lightning
- Alex Ovechkin – 92 OVR – Washington Capitals
- Auston Matthews – 92 OVR – Toronto Maple Leafs
- David Pastrnak – 91 OVR – Boston Bruins
With the Tampa Bay Lightning and Colorado Avalanche both making it to the Stanley Cup Finals, we’re likely to see top players from both teams among the highest rated in NHL 23.
