After a nearly two-hour wait through heavy storms Monday night, the Cincinnati Reds’ game against the San Francisco Giants at Great American Ball Park was suspended, with the score tied 2-2 in the top of the eighth.
The game is to be resumed at 5:40 pm Tuesday, after which Tuesday’s regularly scheduled game is to be played. The second game will not start before the 7:10 pm scheduled time.

What fans need to know about the suspended game between the Cincinnati Reds and San Francisco Giants
Fans with tickets for Monday’s game can present them at the GABP box office Tuesday for a $5 discount on a Tuesday ticket good for both games (subject to availability, with some exclusions, the Reds said in a media release).
Anyone with tickets for Tuesday’s regularly scheduled game may use those tickets for admission for both. Gates open at 4:40 pm
Reds second baseman Jonathan India, who has three hits in the suspended game, tied the game with a solo home run with two outs in the seventh inning.

Rookie Matt McLain gave the Reds a first-inning lead with a two-out home run.
Austin Slater and Wilmer Flores each hit solo shots for the Giants in between the two Reds homers.
Reds starter Brandon Williamson turned in the Reds’ third quality start in four games since the All-Star break, allowing two home runs among four hits in six innings.
The Giants had runners at second and third with one out in the eighth when play was halted Monday. That’s where the game will resume.
