Mets RHP Carlos Carrasco starts as New York seeks a series win with Sunday’s 1:35 pm game on PIX11 at the Philadelphia Phillies.

Mets Notes

– The Mets are 3-6 in rubber games this season.

– Carrasco makes his fourth start — first at Citizens Bank Park as an opposing player — and sixth-career appearance against the Phillies, the franchise that signed him as an amateur in 2003. He is 3-1 with a 3.32 ERA with 19 strikeouts to five walks in 21 2/3 IP when facing Philadelphia.

– OF Tommy Pham leads the Mets with runners in scoring position, going 13 for 38 and for a .342 batting average. Since May 18, Pham has 11 hits over 22 at-bats with runners in scoring position. During that same timeframe, Pham leads the National League in RISP scenarios with a .500 average, .556 on-base percentage, 1.000 slugging percentage and 1.556 OPS.

He allowed six runs (five earned) on five hits (two homers) in three innings of his latest start, last Sunday’s 8-7 loss to the St. Louis Cardinals.

Zack Wheelerthe former Mets RHP, who is 6-4 with a 3.48 ERA and 1.11 WHIP in 15 starts this season.

He pitched a six-inning shutout in his latest start, scattering six hits while striking out four and walking two, during last Sunday’s 3-2 win at the Oakland Athletics.
