Meanwhile, defensemen François-James Buteau has been invited to be part of the Buffalo Sabers roster for the prospects challenge tournament set to begin Thursday in Buffalo, NY.

Buteau and the Sabers will play Montreal on Thursday, New Jersey on Saturday, and Ottawa on Monday.

In Detroit, forward Ivan Ivan has been invited to attend the Red Wings camp and will participate in the Traverse City prospect tournament in Traverse City, Mich.

Ivan and the Red Wings will begin the event on Friday when they play Columbus. They will also face Dallas on Saturday, and Toronto on Monday.

Eagles’ property Juri Kulich, who was drafted no. 3 overall by the club at the Canadian Hockey League Import Draft in July, will also participate in the prospect challenge with the Sabres. He was a first-round pick by Buffalo in July.
