Michael Bunting and William Nylander should probably stick to their day jobs.
The Toronto Maple Leafs teammates tried their hand at working the Tim Hortons drive-thru in a new video posted on Toronto’s Twitter account.
Bunting and Nylander struggled with the basics of the job, forgetting to give customers a tray with their drinks and putting sleeves on the coffee cups.
“You guys got to double check [your order] because we don’t know what we are doing back here,” Nylander told a customer as he handed over her order.
The Maple Leafs forwards also gave out free tickets and jerseys to some lucky customers.
When things started to go haywire Morgan Rielly and Austin Matthews Showed up dressed in disguises to try to trick their teammates.
Rielly and Matthews put on wigs and named their characters Joey Slick and Bradley Scarborough. The disguises didn’t even fool fans on the road who recognized the two Maple Leafs right away.
Bunting and Nylander didn’t fall for their teammates’ fake accents or extravagant orders either.
“You guys are terrible at this,” Rielly said after they pulled up to the window. “We are trying to get an order in and you’re making small talk.”
The chirping didn’t stop there. Rielly and Matthews went inside the Tim Hortons to try to get the order they didn’t receive from Bunting and Nylander at the drive-thru.
“For the sixth time, I’d like sausage, egg and cheese. No cheese. Extra sausage patty. Extra crispy,” Matthews ordered.
It’s still unclear if Matthews ever received that order.
Hopefully, Bunting and Nylander perform much better on the ice this season.
