Brother launches the PJ-800 series of mobile A4 printers

Brother International Australia has announced the next generation of its mobile A4 printer range, the 480g 26cm PJ-800 series, designed to allow mobile workforces to print anywhere they need. Example markets are emergency service workers, field service engineers, or mobile sales teams.

The PJ-800 series succeeds Brother’s popular PJ-700 series while retaining the same compact design but including a raft of improvements that include improved connectivity, faster print speeds of up to 13.5 pages per minute (PPM), and high-quality outputs up to 300 dots per inch (DPI).

Brother has announced five models in the range – the PJ-822, PJ-823, PJ-862, PJ-863, and PJ-883, offering connectivity options across USB, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi. All support charging and data transfer via USB-C and a variety of printer command languages ​​including ZPL2 emulation.

Accessories, including batteries, from the previous line-up remain compatible with the PJ-800 range, and Brother also provides free customer support for the product’s lifetime.

Brother International Australia mobile print and labeling specialist David Molloy said, “While developing the new PJ-800 series, our priority was to offer improved specifications while maintaining everything that was great about its predecessor. That’s exactly what we have achieved here – the design is still extremely compact, which is unique for a full-page print solution, and our existing customers can upgrade their printer while keeping their existing accessories.”

In addition, the ability to print on both thin and thicker paper up to 75gsm affords you the flexibility to print a range of documents including invoices, order forms, quotes, contracts and more, using only one device.
• Connect your way: With convenient connectivity options available at your fingertips including Bluetooth, dual-band Wi-Fi, USB-C and NFC, the PJ-800 series can adapt to your working environment. It can easily connect to your Apple, Android, or Windows devices to streamline your workflows.

Note dual-band Wi-Fi and NFC features are only available on the PJ-833 model, and the PJ-822 and PJ-862 offer 203dpi output. The PJ-823, PJ-863, and PJ-883 models offer 300dpi.
