DORCHESTER Sports continued their perfect start to the Jewson Dorset Premier League season with a hard-earned 1-0 win at Bridport Reserves.
Looking to gain revenge after losing a 3-0 lead at Bridport last season, Sports threatened first as Shaun Bessant and Kyle Critchell missed headers.
Ex-Bridport striker Tony Carlile then squandered a one-on-one before the break.
But Sports’ sub Nick Voss changed the game, running past three challenges and providing for Alex Godfrey to score his third goal in two matches.

Bridport came back strongly with numerous corners but their biggest chance came in stoppage-time when Jake Mansley headed wide unmarked from 12 yards.
Bees’ manager Chris Herbst said: “It was even going into half-time and we defended well.
“On Saturday, we were so bad, nothing was clicking. I said if we play like Saturday we’d be on the end of a four or five-niller.
“(Tuesday) night we rose to the occasion and it was gutting to concede that late goal. We still pushed for the goal, so it’s positive to build on.”
Sports’ boss Ashley James said: “It was a nervous last 15 minutes because we knew they were going to come on strong after the goal.
“The way the lads defended at the end was brilliant. You could tell by the way we defended that we were going to come away with all three points.
“I’m delighted we’ve got through these last two games with maximum points.”
Sports host Wimborne Town Reserves on Saturday while Bridport Reserves host Bournemouth Sports (3pm).
“We just need that consistency, that’s a big thing for us, and a settled side,” Herbst said.
“Pre-season’s been a bit iffy. I’m hoping to keep the same 11 (from Tuesday) and then build.”
Bridport have a clean bill of health for the contest.
