Texas Tech guard Jasmine Shavers attempts to get the shot off while Texas' Rori Harmon takes the charge during Wednesday night's 68-64 win for the Red Raiders. The Longhorns closed to within a point with 1:21 left, but couldn't catch Tech.

LUBBOCK — Bre’Amber Scott scored a game-high 31 points, including key free throws in the final minute, to lead the Texas Tech women’s basketball team to a 68-64 rivalry win over No. 25 Texas on Wednesday at United Supermarkets Arena.

The Longhorns got within one point with 1:21 remaining, but the Lady Raiders held off the late rally to down a ranked UT squad for the third straight season.

It was a one-possession game when UT’s Sonya Morris missed a 3-pointer with 33 seconds left. Katie Ferrell grabbed the rebound for Tech, which iced the game at the charity stripe.

It was Scott’s second consecutive game scoring 30 or more points. The reigning Big 12 co-player of the week had 37 in a win last Saturday at Kansas State.
