Boston’s Jayson Tatum opens up about his Celtic pride after Game 7 blowout of 76ers

After the Boston Celtics won Game 7 of their East semis series with the Philadelphia 76ers thanks in large part to the 51-point explosion coming from Jayson Tatum, the Celtics star opened up about how he felt about playing for Boston in ways he never had before. “I can’t express it enough,” suggested Tatum. “The genuine love that I feel from the crowd.”

“Whether it is pregame, during the game … I’ve been here my whole career, right?” asked the St. Louis native rhetorically. “I feel that they embrace me almost as one of their own, and that means a lot, and I love being here.”

“I love getting to put on this uniform,” he added. “I love getting to play big games, put on the performances in front of them, and they feed off of emotion and energy.”
