Housing workers took to the golf course last week to help raise money for Bolton charities.
The staff from Bolton at Home raised £13,610 thanks to their golfing efforts last Friday, one of the hottest days of the year.
Funds will go to Bolton Wanderers in the Community, which supports work across the borough.
A Bolton at Home spokesperson said: “Our colleagues were able to take part because we’d made a donation to Bolton Wanderers in the Community, a charity spin-off of BWFC that does great work in neighborhoods across the borough.
“Fierce competition from 19 other teams meant we weren’t able to come out on top this time, but we still finished with a respectable 71 points, against a winning score of 83 points.
“What’s more, a total of £13,610 was raised for BWitC thanks to support from various team entries, like ours, and sponsorships.
“This’ll help the charity continue on its mission to “use the power of Bolton Wanderers Football Club to inspire, support and deliver positive change”.
“Through intervention, prevention, and targeted engagement, the charity creates “sustainable pathways that transform lives”.
Bolton Wanderers in the Community’s project themes include employability, active ageing, cohesion, wellbeing, and more.
