Two Ohioans have added their names to the 2023 Memorial Tournament field.
The Memorial announced Tuesday that Bo Hoag and Justin Lower will each participate in the 2023 tournament June 1-4 along with PGA Tour golfers including Rory McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler, Jon Rahm, Jason Day and reigning Memorial Tournament champion Billy Horschel.
Hoag, a Columbus native, Upper Arlington High School and an Ohio State University graduate, joined the PGA Tour in 2020, and has one top-10 finish in 77 events played. He has earned $1,753,112 on the tour.
Lower, an Akron native, joined the tour in 2022 and has recorded four top-10 finishes — including two in 2022-23 — and one top five finish, earning $1,560,260.
Golders will vie for a $20 million purse at the 2023 Memorial Tournament: a jump of nearly 67% from last year’s $12 million.
The Memorial Tournament will be held at Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin June 1-4.
