She continued: ‘They’re playing a team 3 leagues higher. And currently winning. Life makes no sense.’

‘If you’re not watching this insane @wrexham_afc game right now you’re missing out on these vibes,’ the Gossip Girl alum raved.

At the game, Ryan – who also shares daughters Inez, six, and Betty, two, with Lively, and has a fourth child on the way, seemed in great spirits as he enjoyed some quality time with his eldest.

Ryan later described the match as ‘one of the most exciting things I’ve ever seen’ as he took to Twitter after full time dawned in Wales.

‘When @RMcElhenney (co-owner and fellow Hollywood actor Rob McElhenney) and I got into this it all felt so impossible. But impossible is Wrexham’s favorite colour’, he shared.

‘That was one of the most exciting things I’ve ever seen. Thank you each and every Wrexham supporter who came out and aimed your heart at that pitch tonight.’

The Welsh side found themselves behind within two minutes of the game when Oli McBurnie netted for the visitors, and faced a potentially long evening ahead.

But James Jones equalized at the start of the second half and Tom O’Connor struck to put the hosts ahead, although Oliver Norwood’s goal minutes later squared things up again.

Top scorer Paul Mullin appeared to send his side on their way to the fifth round when he poked home on 86 minutes, but John Egan rescued a point for the Blades, and the two sides will now contest a replay.

Ryan went on BBC to speak about the impact his takeover has had on the people of Wrexham, and described the takeover as ‘the greatest experience’ of his life as he tries to steer the club into the football league.

‘We looked at a bunch of different clubs but Wrexham just spoke to us’, he added.

‘The club was already perfect, it just needed a bit of awareness. We’re not here to make decisions on the pitch. I look at this place like a church. It’s got a special place in my heart, and it’s spreading across the world.

‘The plan is to get to the Premier League, if it’s theoretically possible then why not? That is the goal. Realistically the fact that we’re in this church, if I were Sheffield United, I’d be taking this game very seriously.’

Wrexham will play their next match on Saturday when they take on Altrincham but as Blake’s due date inches closer it is not known if Ryan will attend.
