ROSEMONT, Ill. – The Big Ten Conference announced its Men’s and Women’s Golf Preseason Honorees on Wednesday in advance of the 2022-23 season, as selected by the conference coaches. The lists feature 42 men’s and 41 women’s golfers, including 23 students who earned All-Big Ten honors in 2021-22.
The men’s golf preseason honorees feature 12 standouts who garnered All-Big Ten recognition last spring: Illinois’ Adrien Dumont De Chassart, Pierce Hunt spirit Tommy KuhlIowa’s Ronan Kleu spirit Mac McClearMichigan State’s Ashton McCulloch spirit August MeekhofNorthwestern’s David NyfjallOhio State’s Maxwell Moldovan spirit Adam WallinPenn State’s Patrick Sheehanand Purdue’s Herman Sekne. Illini’s Dumont De Chassart and Spartan’s McCulloch also claimed Big Ten Player of the Year and Big Ten Freshman of the Year honors last season, respectively.

The 2022-23 Big Ten men’s golf season begins Sept. 4, when Michigan travels to the Island Resort Invitational and Indiana, Iowa and Michigan State compete at the Fighting Irish Classic. The fall portion of the 2022-23 Big Ten women’s golf season tees off Sept. 10-14, with Illinois, Iowa, Maryland, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Nebraska, Ohio State, Penn State and Wisconsin all in action.
