RICHMOND — It was a fast start for the Beaver Local girls soccer team as the Beavers dismantled Edison 13-0 on Tuesday.
Karlee Cannon had two goals and an assist for the Beavers, while Bella Long and Taylor Fitzimmons had two goals each. Victoria Saphore, Lani Baumgarner, Michelle Stoneburner and Lindsey Simmons had a goal and an assist each. Erin McComas, Lora Reeder and Ally Wright all had single goals. Kiersten Murphy had two assists, while Jordan Palmer and Tori Druschel had an assist each.
Caiden Lamp had the shutout in goal.
Beaver Local is at East Liverpool on Thursday.
Beaver Local 6, Carrollton 0
CALCUTTA — Beaver Local’s boys soccer team shutout Carrollton 6-0 on Tuesday.
Broc Taylor had three goals for the winners, 2-0. Kaleb Mays added two goals and Ben Miller had a single goal.
Colin Gaydos had three assists for the Beavers. Miller and Mays had assists as well. Dante Sorge and John Mondak each had two saves.
Beaver Local is at Union Local next Tuesday.
Oak Glen 2, Steubenville 0
STEUBENVILLE — Oak Glen’s girls soccer team got two goals from Kami Ward in a 2-0 win over Steubenville on Tuesday.
Alexus Greenlief had nine saves and an assist off a goalkeeper distribution play.
Oak Glen is 2-0-1.

Columbiana 150, Wellsville 241
COLUMBIANA — Columbiana’s boys golf team turned in a strong performance in a 150-241 win over Wellsville on Monday at Valley Golf Club.
For the Clippers, Bayden Pipoly had a 36, while Rocco Crawford and Anthony Hall had 37s. Matt Grommes had a 40.
For the Tigers, Nate McGraw had a 56, Maddox Bosco 59, Tashawn Williams 62, Johnnie Tice 64 and Ryley Barney 64.
Columbiana is 7-0.
Harrison Central quad
CADIZ — East Liverpool finished second in a quad on Tuesday at Cadiz Country Club.
Meadowbrook led the way with a 178, followed by East Liverpool with a 190, Harrison Central 195 and Dover 210.
Nathan Kelly had a 40 to lead the Potters. Aaron Dieringer had a 44, Preston Dawson 52 and Caden Headley 54.
East Liverpool is at Buckeye Local today.
