The Aggies scored 13 runs for the third time in four games and had another nine-plus run inning in those same games. With the return of Brett Minnich and the emergence of Jace LaViolette over the past few weeks the Texas A&M offense has looked dominant in a majority of their recent games. If they can find another starting pitcher to take some stress off the bullpen, the Aggies will be in good shape to close out the rest of the regular season.
Coach Schlossnagle took a few minutes to talk about the 10-run fourth inning:
“When you have big innings like that, you need some help. We had some free bases. Then you get the big swing like Minnich and Jordan Thompson had When the wind is blowing the way it is, our team has a chance to hit some home runs, and if you set the table for us you’re gonna get some big innings.”
Texas A&M will head to Lexington Kentucky to take on the No. 13 Wildcats in a three-game series starting on April 21st.
