Others include: Albert Belle, Don Mattingly, Rafael Palmeiro, Dale Murphy, Fred McGriff and Curt Schilling.
Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens would have been locks for the Hall of Fame if it wasn’t for PED usage. Each of these players have compelling cases for being inducted into Cooperstown, but it will be interesting to see if they receive the 75 percent of the vote needed to get it.
The voting committee will consist of a 16-member board. For some of these players, the voters will need to dive deep into their numbers and make a decision. However, for Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens, it will come down to whether voters can look past their PED usage. Meanwhile, others such as Curt Schilling have their own off the field controversies that have affected their reputations.
The voting will take place on December 4th at the MLB Winter Meetings. Regardless of the outcome, people are bound to have strong opinions on this potential Hall of Fame class.

Barry Bonds’ name is one that will especially divide fans. He is the all-time leader in home runs and many people believe he deserves to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. Others, however, are passionate against him being kept out of Cooperstown due to his PED involvement.
This will be one of the most exciting Hall of Fame votes in recent memory.
