Back in 2020, the Asus TUF Gaming A17 FA706IU with AMD Ryzen 7 4800H and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti visited our labs for an in-depth review that unveiled an excellent gaming laptop with a low-budget price. Two years later, the FA707RM-ES73 launched with updated hardware including the AMD Ryzen 7 6800H processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 graphics.
On Amazon, the list price of the configuration mentioned above, which also packs 16 GB DDR5-4800 memory and a 512 GB PCIe SSD, is US$1,399.99. Thankfully, the ongoing 20% discount takes it down to a more wallet-friendly value of US$1,115. While these prices might seem a bit high for the given hardware specs, any potential buyer should also keep in mind the fact that this is a MIL-STD-810H-certified laptop.
Leaving aside the screen size of 17.3 inches and its refresh rate of 144 Hz (the weight and dimensions are also different, of course), most of the technical highlights of the Asus TUF Gaming A17 FA707RM-ES73 are identical to those of the 15.6- inch FA507RM-ES73 model. The list includes NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 6 GB GDDR6 graphics with up to 140 W and Dynamic Boost, a MUX Switch, WiFi 6 and Bluetooth connectivity, as well as 4 X USB 3.0 ports and a HDMI 2.0b port.
The Asus TUF Gaming A17 FA707RM-ES73 comes with Windows 11 Home preinstalled and is covered by a limited warranty of two years from the date of purchase for European customers, but only one year for US-based buyers.

In my early school days, I hated writing and having to make up stories. A decade later, I started to enjoy it. Since then, I published a few offline articles and then I moved to the online space, where I contributed to major websites that are still present online as of 2021 such as Softpedia, Brothersoft, Download3000, but I also wrote for multiple blogs that have disappeared over the years I’ve been riding with the Notebookcheck crew since 2013 and I am not planning to leave it anytime soon. In love with good mechanical keyboards, vinyl and tape sound, but also smartphones, streaming services, and digital art.
