ASUS PL64 mini-PC series introduced with Intel Alder Lake processors in a rugged case

ASUS has unveiled the PL64, another mini-PC series. Following on from the October release of the ExpertCenter PN53 series, the ASUS PL64 combines low-end Intel Alder Lake processors with a rugged chassis and plenty of connectivity. At launch, the ASUS PL64 will come with the following processor options:

  • Intel Celeron 7305 (5 cores)
  • Intel Core i3-1215U (2P cores/4E cores)
  • Intel Core i5-1235U (2P cores/8E cores)
  • Intel Core i7-1255U (2P cores/8E cores)

As the image below shows, all ASUS PL64 units measure 199.7 x 119.7 x 33.9 mm and feature a fanless design. According to ASUS, the mini-PC weighs 1.07 kg as a barebones unit. Hence, the device will weigh more when you add RAM or storage, for which ASUS provides SO-DIMM slots (DDR4-3200) and two M.2 2280 Gen4 slots. Additionally, all units offer front, side and rear I/O:

    • 2x USB 3.2 Gen 1

    • 3x HDMI 2.0 ports
    • 1x Intel (RJ45) 1G LAN
    • 1x EDID reset
    • 2x Antenna Jack
    • 1x DC-in

Moreover, ASUS has included Bluetooth 5 and up to WiFi 6e connectivity, as well as optional fTPM 2.0 or TPM modules. ASUS has not provided prices for any models yet, but you can find out more details on the company’s website.
