Anna Mary O’Donnell, 84, of Lewistown, left her earthly body and was welcomed by her Heavenly Father on Thursday, Aug. 18, 2022, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
Born on July 28, 1938, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Howard Paul and Aretta (Norris) McMinn.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by; two siblings, Francis McMinn, and Janet Kearns.
She is survived by; her daughter, Cynthia A. O’Donnell, of Lewistown; granddaughter, Casey Laky; and siblings, Howard “Reggie” McMinn and wife, Joann, of Reedsville, and Melissa Parson and husband, Louie, of McClure; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Anna was a 1956 graduate of Chief Logan High School.
She was a devoted member of Parkview Church of the Brethren, and she loved her church family.
Anna worked at various jobs during her lifetime, Lewistown Hospital, where she retired, at the Standard Steel Credit Union and lastly at Walmart.
She enjoyed watching and feeding the birds, gardening, and she was always watching the weather. Most of all she loved spending time with her daughter and granddaughter and attending her granddaughter’s sporting events. She especially enjoyed an iced coffee that her granddaughter, Casey would make for her from Dunkin’ Donuts. Anna loved baking pies and she anxiously awaited good morning text messages and pictures from her family members.
A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 pm on Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2022, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes Burnham, 108 First Ave., Burnham.
A second viewing will be held from 10 to 11 am, on Thursday, Aug. 25, 2022, at Parkview Church of the Brethren, with a funeral service to follow at 11 am, with Pastor Teresa Fink officiating.
Interment will take place in Birch Hill Cemetery.
