Anaheim Ducks KABOOM! Playground Build Day
Join the Anaheim Ducks, City of Anaheim and nonprofit, KABOOM!, to build a new Ducks-themed playground in Anaheim in one day!
Anaheim Ducks fans will volunteer alongside Ducks players, coaches, and staff, where they will team-up with professional installers and KABOOM! staff to dig holes, pour concrete, hang swings, build benches, and move dozens of cubic yards of safety surfacing.
The 4,300-square-foot playground will be located at Center Greens, a downtown park next to Anaheim City Hall and the Downtown Anaheim Community Center. The 3.5-acre Center Greens will include new amenities that will offer recreational opportunities for users of all ages and abilities. The park’s current amenities include a skatepark, basketball court, fitness equipment, loop walking trail, and an open grassy area. The park is set to open in 2023.
KABOOM! unites with communities to build kid-designed play spaces that can spark joy and foster a sense of belonging for the kids who are often denied opportunities to thrive.
