Trevor ZegrasC (NHL.com fantasy rank: 99) — He led NHL rookies in points per game (0.81; minimum 50 games) and power-play goals (nine) last season. Behind Zegras, who was also tied for second among rookies in goals (23). Tanner Jeannot (24) of the Nashville Predators, should be considered a top 100 overall fantasy player and has the ceiling of becoming a top 10 center as early as this season.

Troy TerryRW (NHL.com fantasy rank: 139) — He was one of the best fantasy pickups in the NHL last season, leading the Ducks with NHL career highs in points (67) and goals (37). Terry can build on his success if he plays more often on an even-strength line with Zegras (each forward is a potential 2023 restricted free agent) and/or rookie Mason McTavish after his frequent center Ryan Getzlaf retired.

John KlingbergD (NHL.com fantasy rank: 163) — He ranks eighth among NHL defensemen in points (374 in 552 games) and 11th in power-play points (148) since entering the League in 2014-15. Klingberg is a fringe top 30 defenseman option after signing a one-year contract with Anaheim, where he’s expected to play on the first power play.

John GibsonG (NHL.com fantasy rank: 183) — The clear no. 1 goalie could benefit from the offseason additions of Klingberg and forwards Ryan Strome and Frank Vatrano and is a fantasy bounce-back candidate considering he had the third-best save percentage (.921) in the NHL from 2013-14 to 2018-19 (minimum 150 games span).
