AFLW: West Coast sends package of Pride Round merchandise to soccer superstar Sam Kerr partner Kristie Mewis

As West Coast spreads the importance of AFLW pride round far and wide, why not take advantage of having a global sporting superstar on your side?

Taking to social media on Saturday, the Eagles revealed they sent a package of pride merchandise to Matildas striker Sam Kerr and partner Kristie Mewis.

“Incoming Pride swag for @samkerr1,” the club wrote.

The shipment includes two of West Coast’s pride guernseys, sporting Kerr’s number 20 on the back, and two Eagles pride caps for the doting pair.

Kerr, 29, was named West Coast’s number one ticket holder in 2019.

The global soccer superstar and sister of 2006 West Coast premiership midfielder Daniel has been an Eagles fan since birth.

Kerr even paid a visit to the Eagles AFLW side in 2019, training with the newly formed AFLW outfit and sparking speculation a change of code could be on the cards later in her career.

After being the only club not to produce a specially designed, inclusive Pride Round guernsey earlier this year, West Coast are now helping lead the conversation on the importance of inclusion in football.
