Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers would prefer he and his team look ahead to next week’s game against the Jets without a “losing” mindset.
Speaking after the Packers’ upset loss to the Giants in London, Rodgers addressed curious comments made in the locker room, including remarks from Green Bay cornerback Jaire Alexander, who said while he isn’t worried about the team’s defense, “If we lose next week, then I’ll be worried.”

“Frankly, I don’t like all this conversation about losing next week,” Rodgers said, according to ESPN.
“I’m a firm believer in the power of words and manifestation. And we’ve got to check ourselves on that, because talking about that is not winning football. There was a conversation about it in the locker room, and I don’t like it. Ja’s my guy, but we don’t need to be talking like that.”
The Packers dominated the first half of Sunday’s game against the Giants, holding a 20-10 lead over Big Blue at halftime. Green Bay put zero points on the board in the second half, sans a two-point safety late in the fourth quarter.
Rodgers, the league’s reigning MVP, finished Sunday’s 27-22 loss by throwing for 222 yards and two touchdowns. He was also sacked twice.
The Packers, now 3-2, will host the Jets next Sunday in Green Bay, where head coach Matt LaFleur will face off against his brother, New York’s offensive coordinator, Mike LaFleur.
The Jets, also 3-2, are coming off a rare blowout win against their division rival Dolphins, topping Miami on Sunday, 40-17.
