VGK To Host NHL & NHLPA Learn To Play Program In Salt Lake City

VEGAS (October 6, 2022) – The Vegas Golden Knights announced today, October 6, their plans to bring the NHL & NHLPA Learn To Play program to Salt Lake City, beginning January 4, 2023. The announcement comes in conjunction with the team’s visit to Salt Lake City to face the Los Angeles Kings in a preseason game tonight at Vivint Arena.

“Growing the game of hockey throughout our region is an important priority for our organization,” President and Chief Executive Officer Kerry Bubolz said. “We know there are passionate VGK fans in Salt Lake City who watch our games on AT&T SportsNet, and we look forward to sparking interest in the sport with the next generation through the Learn To Play program.”

The NHL & NHLPA Learn To Play program provides instruction and all necessary playing equipment for first-time players ages 5 to 9, with equipment provided by Pure Hockey. The Salt Lake City program will include eight on-ice sessions between January 4 and February 1, 2023 and costs just $220.

The sessions will take place at Millcreek Common at 1354 E. Chambers Avenue in Millcreek, Utah. Interested families should contact Shannon Schmidt at [email protected] for registration information.
