San Jose Sharks Announce 2022 Rookie Faceoff Roster

SAN JOSE, CA (Sept. 8, 2022) – The San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) announced their roster for the 2022 Rookie Faceoff, presented by Visit San Jose, at Tech CU Arena and Sharks Ice at San Jose. The tournament will take place from Sept. 16-19, with the Sharks, Anaheim Ducks, Arizona Coyotes, Colorado Avalanche, Los Angeles Kings and Vegas Golden Knights participating.

Each team will play three games, each consisting of three 20-minute regulation periods followed by a five-minute, three-on-three overtime and shootout if necessary, and will compete against a different opponent in each contest. The Sharks will face off against the Anaheim Ducks at 7 pm on Friday, Sept. 16, Colorado Avalanche at 7 pm on Saturday, Sept. 17 and Los Angeles Kings at 3 pm on Monday, Sept. 19. All games featuring San Jose will be played at Tech CU Arena.

Those unable to attend the Sharks’ three contests can tune in to the broadcast live on the Sharks Audio Network via the Sharks + SAP Center app presented by Western Digital. San Jose Barracuda play-by-play voice Nick Nollenberger will call the action for all Sharks games throughout the tournament’s games.

San Jose’s roster features 16 forwards, nine defensemen and five goaltenders, highlighted by several players who appeared with the Sharks in 2021-22, including Thomas Bordeleau, William Eklund, Santeri Hatakka, Artemi Kniazev, Ryan Merkley, Adam Raskaand Scott Reedyalong with several top prospects in the organization such as Brandon Coe, Danil GushchinBenjamin Gaudreau, as well as 2022 fourth-round selection Mason Beaupit and fifth-round pick Jake Furlong.
