Fans can work from T-Mobile Park today with rare stadium promotion

  • by

For those caught up in Mariners’ fever as the franchise attempts to break its multi-decade playoff drought, fans brought work equipment and laptops into the Hit it Here Café at T-Mobile Park today, Sept. 7, for a unique work-from-home experience.

With their exclusive ticket, fans were able to grab seats for today’s game and lunch for just $50 as the Mariners take on the White Sox at 1:10 pm

The meal included with the ticket was a seasonal fruit-and-berry platter, a choice of salad, an entrée between chicken and flank steak, sides including cheese tortellini and oven-charred baby zucchini, and plenty of freshly baked cookies and brownies.

Bringing a computer to the park was certainly unique and otherwise not allowed in the park. Gregg Greene with Mariners Marketing said T Mobile park “obviously has great Wi-Fi” and fans didn’t even need to take the day off from work.

The goal is to get people who are still working from home to change up their environment, be able to catch an afternoon game, and meet new people, according to Greene.

The Mariners, anchored by All-Stars Ty France and Julio Rodriguez, are 1.5 games ahead of the third and final AL wild-card spot with 26 games to go. Seattle remains 10 games behind Houston for the AL West crown.

Splitting the last two games against the White Sox, a team that stands 7.5 games behind the final AL wild-card spot, today’s afternoon ballgame will act as the series’ rubber match.

The Mariners, winners of 10 of their last 12, currently boast the fifth-best pitching ERA and the seventh-best bullpen ERA this season.
