CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The No. 5 Virginia women’s soccer team (4-0-0) continues to play at home on Thursday, hosting JMU (3-0-1) in a 5 pm contest at Klöckner Stadium. The match kicks off a doubleheader with the Virginia men’s team who will also play JMU following the women’s game.
TICKETS AVAILABLE
Tickets are available for Thursday night’s doubleheader and fans can purchase single-game tickets in advance online at UVATix.com. Reserved seats purchased in advance are $12 and general admission tickets are $8. UVA athletics strongly encourages fans to avoid lines on game day and purchase their tickets online in advance. Single game tickets will be $15 at the gate on game day for reserved seats if available and $10 for general admission seats. Group packages for parties of 20 or more are $6 and are available for purchase over the phone in advance only.
A ticket for either game will get fans into the doubleheader, but there is no re-entry allowed without a second ticket.

Parking is available in the JPJ South Lot and the JPJ West lots.

• Haley Hopkins was named ACC Offensive Player of the Week following tallying four goals last week with the game-winner at Georgetown and a hat trick against Fairleigh Dickinson on Sunday.
• Hopkins was also named to the Top Drawer Soccer Team of the Week for her week two performance.
• Laney Rouse notched her first collegiate goal against Fairleigh Dickinson when the junior defender struck with an unassisted score in the 27th minute to give UVA a 4-0 lead over the Knights.
• Samar Guidry returned to the pitch against FDU after duty with the US U-20 Women’s National Team at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup alongside Rouse.
• Lia Godfrey notched her first goal of the season with her score against FDU in the second half.
• Godfrey also continues to lead all active NCAA D1 players in assists per game as she averages 0.49 assists per game over the course of her career with the Cavaliers.
• Alexa Spaanstra also continues to move up the UVA career record book and sits sixth all-time in assists at UVA with 31 after her two assist performance against FDU on Sunday.
• Hopkins and Spaanstra are two of only five active players in the NCAA with 30 goals and 20 assists for their careers. Hopkins has 46 goals and 22 assists (114 points) while Spaanstra has 31 goals and 31 assists (93 points) to rank second and fourth, respectively, among the five players.
• Hopkins is also third among all active NCAA players in career points (114) and goals (46).
THE SERIES WITH JMU
• Virginia and James Madison meet for the 26th time on Thursday in a series the Cavaliers lead 22-1-2.
• UVA won the last meeting 2-0 in Harrisonburg last season, resuming a rivalry that had last been played in 2012.
• The Cavaliers have won 10 straight in the series with shutout victories in five of the last six meetings.
